Two Victims Identified in the Providence Campus Attack as Police Continue Hunt for Gunman.

Both young individuals who were killed in Saturday’s mass shooting on the university campus were being remembered Monday – amid a widespread hunt for their killer persisted following the discharge by Rhode Island officials of the sole person of interest in the case.

Remembering Ella Cook

The student Ella Cook, a second-year student from Alabama, was remembered as “an amazing, stable, pious, radiant soul”, according to the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Birmingham, which offered condolences for her at a gathering on Sunday.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. His ambitions were lofty of becoming a neurosurgeon and assisting patients,” his sister, Samira Umurzokova said in a online post.

Nine more persons were wounded in the weekend shooting in the engineering department of Brown’s campus in Providence, during the institution's end-of-term tests.

Officials stated by the end of Sunday that a man aged 24 taken into custody in a police operation at a lodging about approximately 17 miles from the scene earlier in the day was set to be freed.
