Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Sports Personality Prize

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Athlete of the Year award.
The three finalists have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.
The champion will be unveiled on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.
The event will be televised from 19:00 GMT.
Michelle Agyemang

A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She was introduced as a substitute to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Being nominated for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Perrin's Profile

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
