Passionate supporters of the actress are urging that a person who leaped a barricade and seized the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing media personnel and charging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a promenade surrounded by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the event by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being taken in", though court documents revealed that he was due to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram account features videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is clearly a legal violation," stated an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Voice Worry Over Ariana's Well-being

Several fans criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further message on Instagram.

A number of attendees also criticised event staff at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while some called for social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Hundreds of Singapore fans had queued up to meet the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of fans had congregated in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The film, to be released on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-film version of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which revolves around the surprising friendship between two very different characters.

The production itself is a adaptation of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a light pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, earning a pair for best costume and set decoration.
